Who is responsible
CricArcade (cricarcade.com) is run by Vishal Jaiswal, based in Berlin, Germany. For data protection purposes that is the data controller, reachable at hello@cricarcade.com.
Playing without an account
You can play every CricArcade game fully without signing in. In that mode your stats are stored only in your own browser (local storage) and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in creates one account across all CricArcade games, so your stats follow you between devices and games and can appear on the public leaderboards. We use Google sign-in only to authenticate you; we do not post anything to your Google account.
What we store, and why
- A public handle you choose. Shown on the leaderboard. This is the only identity shown publicly.
- Your game statistics. Per-campaign results, per game, used for your career stats, achievements, and ranking.
- Your saved careers. When you are signed in, in-progress careers (for example a World Cup cycle, a Test series career, a card collection or an IPL Dynasty save) are copied to our database so you can pick them up on another device.
- An account identifier and your email. Held by our authentication provider to operate sign-in. Your email is never shown publicly. Your Google display name is never stored or shown.
Our lawful basis for the above is performing the service you asked for: an account and a leaderboard place. Analytics and advertising are separate and rest on your consent, described below. We do not sell your data.
Advertising
CricArcade is free and is paid for by ads. Ads are served by Google, using Google AdSense. Google and its certified partners may set cookies or read device identifiers in order to select ads, cap how often you see the same one, and measure whether an ad worked. The current list of those partners is published at Google’s ad technology providers, and Google’s own explanation of what it does with the data is at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Personalised versus non-personalised. If you are in the UK, EEA or Switzerland we ask before any advertising cookie is set. Until you answer, Google’s tags run in a denied state using Google Consent Mode, and anything they send while advertising storage is denied has ad identifiers stripped. Say yes and ads may be chosen using data about you. Say no and you still see ads, but they are chosen only from the page you are on and rough location, not from a profile. Elsewhere, ads may be personalised by default, and you can turn that off for every site at Google My Ad Center.
We do not pass your handle, your email or your game history to any advertiser. We never show ads that are targeted using data about children.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage: which pages are visited and which game they belong to. It sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>) to tell one visit from another. We do not use it to identify you and we have not enabled any advertising feature inside it. Where consent is required, analytics is off until you give it.
Handles and community links
Handles are checked automatically against a list of abusive, hateful and impersonating terms, including common letter substitutions. A handle that fails is hidden from every leaderboard until its owner picks a new one.
Our Discord server, subreddit and social accounts are run on those platforms and governed by their own privacy policies. Following a link to them sends us nothing about you, and we do not link your CricArcade account to them.
Where it is stored
Your account and game data are hosted on Supabase in India (Mumbai, ap-south-1). Analytics and advertising data are processed by Google, which operates globally; for visitors in the UK and EU, Google relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for those transfers.
Your rights
You can view the data held on you and permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account page. Deletion removes your handle, all recorded campaigns, your stats, your saved careers, and your authentication record. It cannot be undone.
If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to access, correct, export or restrict the use of your data, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in India, the DPDP Act gives you comparable rights of access, correction, erasure and grievance redressal. Either way, write to the address below and we will action it; there is no charge and no form to fill in.
Children
CricArcade is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly hold data on them. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will delete it.
Retention
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Anonymous local stats live only in your browser until you clear them. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and note it in updates. Advertising was introduced on 18 August 2026; saved careers, handle checks and the community section were added to this page on 16 September 2026.
