ABOUT THE DATABASE
This database holds 3,151 men who have played ODI cricket, from 1971 to today, each with the official career record. For the 3,115 of them whose matches are in CricArcade's scorecard archive, the page adds a breakdown computed from those scorecards: best innings and best bowling linked to each match, the record against every opponent, at home and away, decade by decade and ground by ground, and the first and latest ODI. Each profile opens with a short reading of the career: the debut, the most productive decade, the signature performance and, for captains, the record in charge.
The leading run-scorers are SR Tendulkar (18,426), V Kohli (14,941) and KC Sangakkara (14,234); the leading wicket-takers M Muralidaran (534), Wasim Akram (502) and Waqar Younis (416). The most-capped are SR Tendulkar (463 ODIs), DPMD Jayawardene (448 ODIs) and ST Jayasuriya (445 ODIs). Among batters with at least 40 innings, the highest averages belong to Shubman Gill (60.33), V Kohli (58.59) and DJ Mitchell (57.36).
England have supplied the most players, 281, followed by India (265) and Pakistan (261); in all, 26 countries are represented. The busiest decade for new ODI players was the 2000s, with 752 debuts, and 261 players appeared in a single ODI. Search by name below, or sort the list to browse it.
