Detailed Patch Notes

23 items
FIXED

IPL Dynasty: the post-match scorecard tables are readable again, with separate R, B, 4s, 6s and SR columns, and both teams' innings are one tap apart.

FIXED

IPL Dynasty: the Phase Comparison table no longer shows impossible wicket counts, every phase adds up to the innings, and each run rate now shows the overs it was scored in.

FIXED

IPL franchise career and Big Bash: the post-match scorecard, including after you resume a season, is laid out properly again, with readable columns and a tab for each team's innings.

FIXED

The Follow-On Versus: rooms no longer freeze or drift apart mid-match. A pending review or next-batter prompt was being mistaken for a desync, which rebuilt one player's match and left the two scoreboards overs apart. A player whose connection cannot receive live updates no longer freezes on the first over, and a room now tells you when your opponent is on a different version of the site or when nothing is arriving from them.

NEW

T20 World Cup Career: cloud saves. Sign in and your career follows you to any device; the further-along copy wins, and deleting a career deletes it everywhere.

BETTER

Reviews are harder to read and closer to real life in every format: about a quarter of reviews now overturn the call (a batter reviewing an out decision about a third of the time, a bowling side about a fifth), where before an informed captain almost always won. The read on a decision is a clue, not an answer.

NEW

Test and ODI: the other side's reviews now open the same third-umpire window as yours.

BETTER

Reviews work the same way in every format now: IPL Dynasty, IPL solo, Big Bash, T20 World Cup, Test and ODI all show the third umpire's checks (UltraEdge, ball tracking, foot behind the line) and end in Out, Not Out or Umpire's Call, which keeps your review. In IPL Dynasty a review used to look like it did nothing.

BETTER

IPL Dynasty: the animated broadcast scorecard is back after a match, with a switch to the match-centre view.

NEW

IPL Dynasty: when a match ties, you now pick the three Super Over batters and the bowler yourself.

NEW

IPL Dynasty: bowling all-rounders can bat at 6 to 8 as all-rounders without the tail-ender penalty, and show under the all-rounder filter.

NEW

IPL Dynasty: a Stats Archive tab keeps your squad's numbers for every season, including players who were dropped or retired.

FIXED

The Chase (ODI): a tied match you play (Quick Match, Series Career, World Cup) now goes to a Super Over, repeated until someone wins, and the result names the winner with both Super Over scores. Knockout ties say who goes through or lifts the trophy.

BETTER

T20 World Cup Career: every legend is now rated at his peak, not his career average. Kohli, de Villiers and Gayle stay at the top, and Ashwin, Jadeja, Dhawan, Sangakkara, Dilshan, Afridi, Steyn and the rest of the great sides rise.

NEW

The Chase and IPL career: when your match ties, you pick the Super Over's three batters and the bowler before it is played.

BETTER

The Chase (ODI): ties between other teams in a series or World Cup also go to a Super Over, so no match ends level.

NEW

The Follow-On: Live Tests get Auto pick XI and Use real playing XI buttons on the Pick Your XI screen.

FIXED

The Follow-On: a batter who has really filled a spot is no longer marked out of position there: Head opening and Renshaw at 5 are fine, a pace bowler at 3 still is not.

BETTER

Higher or Lower: the question now names both players ("Does Kohli have more runs than Tendulkar (18,426)?"), the left card is marked REFERENCE and the right YOUR CALL, and each button says what it is higher or lower than.

BETTER

Higher or Lower: the answer stays up for about 3 seconds (longer after a miss) with both numbers, the gap between them and a countdown, and Next, Space or Enter moves on sooner.

FIXED

Higher or Lower: Quit Match always returns to match setup, and a pending round can no longer reopen the match.

FIXED

T20 World Cup Career: Potts, Baker and Turner are pace bowlers, Jamie Smith keeps wicket, Mousley is an all-rounder, and the retired Tim Southee is out of the New Zealand squad.

NEW

T20 World Cup Career: India gains Prabhsimran Singh, Naman Dhir and Harsh Dubey, plus Harbhajan Singh and Gautam Gambhir as legends.
