5 spells with five franchises in all. The longest was with Deccan Chargers, 2008 to 2010. 2014 and 2015 are missing from the record: seasons without an IPL appearance.

How the wickets came

With the ball, 90 wickets in 1,788 deliveries, at 7.85 runs an over against a league rate of 7.66 for the same seasons: 0.19 an over more expensive than the typical bowler of the time, the price of a bowler who took wickets often. There were two four-wicket hauls, and the best figures were 4 for 22.

41.9% of the balls RP Singh bowled were dots, a higher share than 91% of the 150 bowlers with 500 balls or more; a wicket came every 19.7 balls.

At the auction
